The Inspector Presents ‘The £10K Challenge ‘ – Step 1: August (£500 To £4,000)

THE SPORTING INSPECTOR £10,000 IN THREE MONTHS CHALLENGE

  • STEP ONE: £500 To £4,000 – August
  • STEP TWO: £1,000 To £6,000 – September
  • STEP THREE: £2,000 To £10,000 – October

Set Up Guidelines:

  1. These bets are played to Win, unless you can get odds of ‘1.8/1.9 to 2 or more’ in any of the Place or ‘extra’ Place markets.
  2. Your growth target is 7.5 to 10% – there are going to be enough bets most days to go for multiple targets if you want to roll your sleeves up
  3. Don’t overdo it for the first few days/weeks.
  4. You can start with any amount of money
  5. We are betting in monthly cycles, don’t get hung up on one single days action
  6. Concentrate on your own betting and mastery – not focusing or comparing with me or anyone else
  7. The world will not end if you take 1.8 or 1.9 as a Place Price – however, the place element is classically worked from 2 (Evens)
  8. You are in charge of when you collapse your run each day, maybe you do it at 5% or 7.4% – it is your choice. You are in charge of your betting
  9. Set your S/L to about 30% – expect a debit day or two overall
  10. Keep a focused and positive, consistent approach – when you get it right you won’t be looking back
  11. Do not overthink what is happening here – you are playing a sequence of bets to win, unless you can get around the odds of ‘1.8/1.9 to 2 or more’ in the place market. You will then stop at or around target and reinvest your profits into the bank, in order to raise your point value for the next series of bets you choose to play.
  12. If taking a Place price means you get a ‘Target’ or Job Done on your next bet, why not do that?

July 26th Results

July 27th Results

July 28th was a profit with two bets including a winner

July 29th – Day 1 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £557

July 30th – Day 2 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £705.35

July 31st – Day 3 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £807.92

In the 14:25 yesterday, our selection Jabbara won the race, quickening away nicely but veering off a true line. Yet, the result was unfortunately overturned in the Stewards room and placings reversed. Very, very strange decision and causing us a longer Challenge day than otherwise.

August 1st – Day 4 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £879.02

August 2nd – Day 5 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £689

A perfectly good win on the 31st July overturned in the stewards room, and now a ‘dead heat’ which would have brought the day back to even stevens.

If you are wondering how that works, in the event of a ‘dead heat’ you lose half of your winnings, which effectively means your bet went on the equivalent of half the odds.

Neither of those two instances are likely to occur again this side of the full 3 monthly cycle for the £10K Challenge!

August 3rd – Day 6 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £858

August 4th – Day 7 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £877

August 5th – Day 8 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £961

August 6th – Day 9 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1038

August 7th – Day 10 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1364

August 8th – Day 11 £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1544.12

August 9th – Day 12 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1823.5

August 10th – Day 13 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £2062.32

August 11th – Day 14 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1795.77

August 12th – Day 15 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1968.56

August 13th – Day 16 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £1968.56

August 14th – Day 16 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £2380

August 15th – Day 17 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £2570.40

August 16th – Day 18 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £2705.93

August 17th – Day 19 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £3142.40

August 18th – Day 20 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £3330.55

August 19th/20th/21st/22nd/23rd – Day 21-25 – £500 To £4K Challenge Bank – £4125.77

  1. TheSportingInspector says:

Hello, matching the £4K challenge will take a start bank of £250 and around an average growth of 10% per day, yes. Obviously, a lower start bank can show the same growth but a smaller final tally, and a larger start bank a larger final tally.

  2. TheSportingInspector says:

Hello Francis, yes you can start off with £250. At Job Done or close by, I recommend you reinvest profits to raise the point value. If you review my results as posted on the screenshots you can get a good feel for how to proceed.

  3. TheSportingInspector says:

Morning Peter, Sorry I am not quite with you on this. Can you tell me what results you got for the two selections, yourself?

  4. TheSportingInspector says:

David, you could use the Daily Banker & Double Maximum approach. Place your bet on the first race, then update the staking sheet, then place your bet on the 2nd race? Or you could trial a win double on both selections at the start of each day. Let me know how you get on. For the first option you can use the Patent staking plan to work out what the stake will be in the event of any result, then write it down and make the bet once the first result is known etc.

  5. TheSportingInspector says:

Russell, it was 3tbp bet paying at 1.81 but the odds entry did indeed relate to the 2tbp price. Just one of those things on a busy day with bets coming from all angles.

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Paul, Step 1 of the £10K Challenge betting campaign, started on the 29th July

  6. Francis Kostanczuk says:

Good morning Inspector, you have Top Juggler down as a win?? And Zainabb down as a win, I’m getting a little bit confused??

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Francis, no need to be confused let’s try and work it out. Can you go to my daily post and the 12 Guidelines for The £10K Challenge? Read numbers 1, 7 and 11. Let me know what you make of that in the context of your question about yesterday.

  7. Francis Kostanczuk says:

Hi Inspector, did you put them on as place bets then,?? I’m sorry if you think I’m being a bit awkward but it just confuses me Inspector,

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Francis, I don’t think you are being awkward at all. Question: Do you know how to find the odds for a Place price on either Betfair or Betdaq?

      • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Francis, are you using Betting Assistant Gruss for Betfair or Betdaq. Which one do you use?

      • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Francis, which are you using and do you use Betting Assistant for placing bets?

        • Francis Kostanczuk says:

Hi Inspector, I do have Gruss but I would have to get my laptop out I also have the automatic bot, but my wife doesn’t like me getting everything out do I have to say any more.
So I just do everything on my phone to save any agro.

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi George, I’m not too sure what you mean. Are you using the Inspectors Workbook in the £10K Challenge tab? The staking is all worked out for you when you enter odds and results, bet by bet.

  8. JohnnyO says:

Hi, is there a recommendation time to take the selections from the site as they appeared to change throughout the day yesterday after I took a copy of them?

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Johnny0, they definitely shouldn’t change. I have sent a request for more clarification into The Sporting Predictors Dave Tech who built the automated selection interface. Will feedback to you on this. What time have you been taking the selections? I have taken mine now. Will download again at midday to check.

    • TheSportingInspector says:

      Time Course Selection
      14:05 Redcar Arabian Angel
      14:25 Goodwood Jabaara
      16:10 Goodwood Elladonna
      16:25 Redcar Hurstwood
17:00 Redcar Star Of St James
      17:20 Goodwood Metaverse
      17:45 Sandown Cabinet Of Clowns
18:05 Leicester One Of Our Own
      18:20 Sandown Adrestia
      19:05 Leicester Emporess
      19:55 Sandown Xiomara
      20:05 Leicester Valkyrian
      20:30 Sandown Salamanca Lad

The above are the selections at 1pm and there are two more bets there than at 8.45am. It is being looked into and will be remedied.

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Francis, along the top of the race card you have Win, Each Way and Place odds. To check the Place odds of a selection you just click on that tab. If you get the target odds as mentioned in my system guidelines, that is the bet I recommend you take. If you don’t get those odds for a Place mentioned in my system guidelines, you take the Win bet. Can I check you are using The Inspectors Workbook as downloaded in the member area for your staking?

      • Francis Kostanczuk says:

Hi Inspector, yes I’m using your sheet off the site so there’s no problems there, OK I will do everything that you have told me thanks Inspector.

        • TheSportingInspector says:

Ok, well you should have had two winners so far today and returned around 5%? 14:05 Redcar Arabian Angel was 2nd with a Place price at about 1.94 and 14:25 Goodwood Jabarra was a Win bet around 4, with no Place price at recommended odds. Do you have these two results about the same? (Ps I have just seen they overturned the result on the 14:25 from a Stewards Enquiry.. that is totally unbelievable)

          • Francis Kostanczuk says:

Yes Inspector I got the 2.05, I did have the other one until they overturned it, Inspector the 16.10 race what shall we put in place of Ella Donna??

          • TheSportingInspector says:

Looks a non runner to me. There is no bet if a selection is withdrawn or an N/R.

  9. George Cowan says:

Hi there were 10selections this morning. Now checked again there is only 7 . Race 3.45. 6.15. and 7.00 not there now do I go with original 10 selections. or the 7 that are listed.

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi George, I am playing the 10 I downloaded this morning, looking at a fix for this issue in the automated selection department.

  10. graeme pellitt says:

    Hi
I noted the selections down this morning, approx 11:00, there are a few differences between now and then is there any protocol for this or just crack on with what’s the most current
    Cheers

    • TheSportingInspector says:

Hi Graeme, as mentioned in my earlier reply to George, I am playing the 10 I downloaded this morning around 9am, a fix is now in place for this issue from the automated selection department. From tomorrow, no bets will change when they appear.
